Today’s daily jigsaw puzzle is inspired by some baby barn swallows, that lived at our house. Many years ago, we had a couple of barn swallows construct a nest right above our front door. It was fascinating to watch them build it out of mud balls and line it with twine, grass, and other soft materials. Shortly thereafter, it was filled with eggs. Our children watched with eager anticipation for the eggs to hatch. One day, they did! Then, the parents went into overdrive to keep the little ones fed. Each time we would walk out of our door, the vibrations would cause the slumbering babies to poke their heads up and open their mouths as if to say “FEED ME!” It was a beautiful addition to our family until one day, they all flew away.
